WASHINGTON, D.C. — A fatal shooting occurred early Friday in Northwest Washington, claiming the life of a 23-year-old woman.
At approximately 12:17 a.m., officers patrolling the 700 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest, heard gunfire. Upon arriving at the scene, police found evidence of a shooting, though no victim was present. Shortly after, Lou Loni Jordan, a resident of Waldorf, Maryland, was discovered at a local hospital receiving treatment for gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, Jordan succumbed to her injuries.
