Woman found asleep in car at Jackson Wawa arrested after drugs, paraphernalia discovered

A woman was arrested Monday morning after Jackson police found suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia in her vehicle while she was unconscious in the driver’s seat outside a Wawa.

At approximately 9:51 a.m., officers McIvor, Schmidt, and Mabey responded to the Wawa on North County Line Road for a report of an unconscious female in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found the woman asleep in the driver’s seat with what appeared to be a crack pipe visible inside a bag.

Police woke the woman and ordered her out of the vehicle. She was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected crack cocaine, three additional crack pipes, and a digital scale.

The woman was transported to the Jackson Police Department, processed, and released.
