Woman found dead in street in early morning Dallas shooting

DALLAS, TX – Dallas Police on Sunday morning discovered a woman who had been shot multiple times by a rifle.

Police reported on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Dallas Police Officers responded to a shooting call at 8800 Fair Oaks Crossing at Whitehurst Dr.  Upon arrival, officers discovered the complainant, a 61 year old Black female, lying face down in the street wearing all black and a black skull cap. 

The complainant was still moving but was unresponsive.  Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to the location and transported the complainant to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.  The woman had been shot several times in the upper torso by a rifle.The motive and circumstances surrounding this offense are unknown at this time.  This is an ongoing investigation.
