PHILADELPHIA, PA. – A woman was injured Friday after being grazed by a bullet during a shooting outside a convenience store on Frankford Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia, according to police.

The incident occurred near 7715 Frankford Avenue, where investigators say a man opened fire from across the street, striking the woman with a grazing gunshot wound. She was treated for her injuries, which were described as non-life-threatening.

Police said the male suspect, identified only as an adult, was taken into custody shortly after the incident and did not sustain any injuries. One firearm was recovered at the scene.

Authorities have not released the motive for the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
