Woman Hospitalized After Stabbing Inside Philadelphia Home, Police Searching for Suspect

A 21-year-old woman was hospitalized in stable condition after she was stabbed inside a property in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood, police said.

Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia police are investigating after a 21-year-old woman was stabbed inside a residence Wednesday afternoon, leaving her hospitalized with injuries.

Officers from the 9th District responded at approximately 3:32 p.m. to the 2000 block of Hamilton Street following reports of a stabbing inside a property.

Victim taken to hospital

When officers arrived, they found the 21-year-old victim suffering from a stab wound.

Philadelphia Fire Department medics transported her to Jefferson Center City Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Investigation continues

Police have not announced a motive for the stabbing, and no arrests have been made.

The investigation is being led by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division.
