MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ – A 26-year-old woman from Franklin Township was killed Saturday morning when her vehicle overturned and landed upside down in a small body of water along West Malaga Road, police said. The crash was discovered around 9:10 a.m. by a passing motorist near the intersection of Bracken Drive and County Route 659.
Investigators determined the woman was driving a 2025 Kia Sportage eastbound when the vehicle lost control on icy pavement, rotated, and veered off the roadway. The SUV overturned after striking the edge of the road and came to rest upside down in shallow water. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
