BROOKLYN, NY – A woman was allegedly raped at knifepoint under the Reigelmann Boardwalk at MCU Park, located at 1904 Surf Avenue, in a distressing attack that occurred around 9:00 AM today.

Police report that the 46-year-old victim was under the boardwalk with a homeless witness who briefly left the scene. Upon his return, he heard the victim’s screams and discovered her being assaulted by one man with a knife, while a second man looked on. The witness’s prompt intervention led to the apprehension of one of the assailants at the scene.

The arrested suspect, 24-year-old David Devon Bonilla, has been previously involved in a sex crime against a member of the LGBTQ community and was at large until today. Both suspects are reported to be migrants, with the second suspect still on the loose, prompting heightened concern in the community.

The victim is currently in stable condition at a nearby hospital. This brutal incident has triggered significant alarm among local residents, leading to calls for increased security measures and a swift response to capture the remaining suspect.
