HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – A woman walking near Park Way and Rogers Avenue in Hightstown was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted Friday evening, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
The 34-year-old woman told police she was walking in the area at about 7:30 p.m. when an unknown man approached her from behind. Prosecutors said he physically and sexually assaulted her.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have not identified a suspect.
Investigators Ask About Similar Encounters
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and Hightstown Police Department are investigating the attack together. Authorities have not released a description of the man or said whether investigators believe he remained in the area afterward.
Detectives are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with information about Friday’s assault or anyone who may have experienced a similar encounter.
