Woman slashed, man bitten during robbery in the Bronx

BRONX, NY — A woman was slashed and a man was bitten during a violent robbery inside a Bronx residence Monday afternoon, according to police.

The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. at 1227 Webster Avenue, where a 24-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were confronted by an unidentified individual attempting to remove items from the location.

When the victims tried to stop the individual, the suspect bit the male victim on his arm and finger, and slashed the female victim on her right arm with a knife before fleeing the scene on foot with the stolen items.

The male victim declined medical treatment. The woman was transported by EMS to Bronx Care Health System and is reported to be in stable condition.

Police said the suspect fled in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the NYPD.
