Woman's body found early friday morning near brooklyn park alley way

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead with signs of trauma Friday morning in Brooklyn Park.

Officers responded at approximately 9:05 a.m. to a report of a body near Disney Road and Alley 79. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased female with visible injuries. The woman has not yet been identified.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Homicide Unit detectives assumed control of the investigation at the scene.

Investigators, along with the department’s Evidence Collection Unit, gathered multiple pieces of potential evidence from the location. Police said efforts are ongoing to identify the victim and notify next of kin.

Police urge public to come forward with information

“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” police said in a statement. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-222-4731.
