Young Girl Injured by Fireworks in North Philadelphia

A young girl was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after being injured by fireworks in North Philadelphia, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 3:24 p.m. on the 1700 block of North Bailey Street in the 22nd District, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Police said the juvenile female was playing with fireworks when she sustained injuries. Medics responded to the scene and transported her to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her current condition has not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
