Young woman groped inside East 86th Street business

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly groped a 20-year-old woman inside a commercial establishment near Lexington Avenue and East 86th Street on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. when the unidentified man approached the victim from behind and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing the scene. The woman was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and a light-colored baseball cap.
