Young Woman Groped Inside Manhattan Subway Station

NEW YORK, NY – Police are on the lookout for an individual involved in an assault at the Canal Street Subway station last Friday evening.

The incident took place at approximately 7:41 PM when a 24-year-old female victim was accosted while descending the station’s stairs. The unidentified assailant, described as a 25-year-old male with a light complexion and medium build, slapped the victim’s buttocks before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect stands between 5’7″ and 5’8″ tall and was last observed wearing a gray t-shirt with red lettering, dark colored pants, and white sneakers.

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the search for the suspect continues.
