12-Year-Old Charged in Death of Toddler in Salisbury

SALISBURY, MD – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 12-year-old suspect following the death of a 2-year-old child in Salisbury, Maryland.

Detectives from the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center led the investigation. After speaking with caregivers and investigating the scene, charges were filed against the 12-year-old who resides in the same household as the deceased child.

The juvenile suspect has been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Lower Eastern Shore Children’s Center.

No further information was provided tonight by police.
