Teen busted after robbing man of jacket in Navy Yard
Washington, DC – A 14-year-old boy has been arrested following a street robbery in the Navy Yard neighborhood where two suspects allegedly jumped a man and stole his jacket before fleeing into the night.
The incident happened Tuesday evening around 8:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of First Street SE. The victim told investigators he was approached by two individuals who demanded his jacket. After a short struggle, the man handed it over, and the suspects took off on foot.
Following an investigation led by the Metropolitan Police Department with support from Metro Transit Police, authorities arrested a teenage male from Southeast and charged him with robbery.
Police say the second suspect was caught on surveillance video near the scene. Investigators released a photo in hopes the public can help identify him.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police but is advised not to approach the suspect. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
