14-Year-Old Fatally Shot in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch is actively investigating a heartbreaking incident that left a young teen dead in Southeast Washington. The victim of the fatal shooting has been identified as 14-year-old Irving Laboard from Northeast D.C.

The shooting happened early on Wednesday morning when officers were dispatched to Fort Dupont Drive following a report of a person down. Upon arrival, they discovered Laboard with gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response and efforts by DC Fire and EMS, Laboard’s injuries proved fatal.
