D.C. Robbery Suspect Caught On Camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The D.C. Metro Police Department is asking the community for help identifying a suspect in a bold daylight robbery at a business in the 900 block of 17th Street.

Yesterday afternoon, around 2:45 p.m., the individual in question leaped over the sales counter. In a confrontation with an employee stationed at the cash register, the suspect initiated a physical altercation by pushing the worker. Subsequently, the perpetrator seized money from the cash register before escaping.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or to submit an anonymous tip through the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE by texting 50411.
