15-year-old arrested in brutal ambush of child on Aisquith Street

BALTIMORE, MD — A 15-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery and kidnapping of a 12-year-old boy in Baltimore’s Eastern District, police announced Wednesday.

The incident occurred on May 19, 2025, as the 12-year-old victim was walking to school in the 2500 block of Aisquith Street. He was approached by three male suspects who implied they had weapons and demanded his belongings.

When the victim refused, the suspects forced him into a nearby residence, where they assaulted him and stole his phone and sneakers before fleeing the scene.

Detectives quickly identified one of the suspects, learning that he was already under electronic monitoring in connection with prior stolen auto and robbery cases. He was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.

The teen has been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. The investigation remains active as detectives work to identify the other two suspects involved.
