Midnight ride on Tucker Street ends in fatal crash
BELTSVILLE, MD — A 20-year-old motorcyclist lost control while riding along Tucker Street shortly after midnight Friday and crashed, suffering injuries that later claimed his life at a hospital, according to Prince George’s County Police.
Police identified the rider as Inmar Campos-Rivera of Oxon Hill.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. in the 10700 block of Tucker Street in Beltsville.
A preliminary investigation by the department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit found that Campos-Rivera was traveling on Tucker Street when he lost control of his motorcycle for reasons that remain under investigation.
Campos-Rivera was transported from the crash scene to a hospital, where he later died.
Police did not provide additional information about what may have caused him to lose control.
Investigators are searching for witnesses as well as dash-camera or home-surveillance video that may have captured the crash or events surrounding it.
Police said even footage that may appear insignificant could contain information useful to the investigation.
