INGLEWOOD, CA – A public service announcement from the 1950s out of Inglewood, California highlights how society has changed. The PSA was published by the Inglewood Police Department and claimed homosexuals were ‘sick’.

“All homosexuals are not passive, some resort to violence,” the Inglewood Police Department said. “Public restrooms are also a hangout for homosexuals. Be careful if they are too friendly. One never knows when a homosexual is about. He may appear normal and it may be too late before you discover he is mentally ill.”
