Suspect Attempts to Stab Victim, Flees, And Is Arrested in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department made an arrest in an attempted stabbing which took place on the 700 Block of 9th in Northwest D.C. on April 2nd.

According to detectives, “At approximately 10:51 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and attempted to stab the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.”

 48 year-old Benjamin Stafford Anthony of Alexandria, Virginia was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon on April 3rd. This incident remains under investigation.
