Two Suspects Wanted for 2022 Homicide in South Linden

COLUMBUS, OH – Homicide investigators have recently identified two men, 32-year-old Evan Jones and 32-year-old Jermaine Johnson, as the suspects responsible for the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Anthony Elmore in South Linden in November 2022.

Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of E. 16th Avenue on November 22, 2022, following reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers found that a house on Cleveland Avenue had been struck by gunfire. While investigating, they discovered Elmore suffering from a gunshot wound. Elmore was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later. Arrest warrants have been filed for both suspects.

Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Bureau at 614-645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
