Yardley Police Blotter: Here’s What’s Happening

YARDLEY, PA – The Yardley Borough Police Department reported several significant law enforcement actions, including a burglary arrest and responses to a hit-and-run accident and firearms offenses.

A residential burglary in the 40 Block of Brown St. led to the arrest of a 42-year-old Morrisville, PA man on March 25, 2024. The suspect was apprehended with stolen items in his vehicle, following an investigation that identified him from his activities in the area on February 26, 2024. Charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property, the suspect’s bail was set at 10% of $50,000, and he was remanded to Bucks County Jail.

On March 22, 2024, Yardley Police issued a citation for failing to report an accident after a hit-and-run incident on the 40 Block of South Main St. Utilizing camera footage and license plate readers, a 37-year-old Langhorne, PA, woman was identified as the driver of the fleeing vehicle. The case is now pending in District Court.


Additionally, a traffic stop on March 2, 2024, for speeding in the 60 Block of North Main St. led to a firearms offense investigation. A Subaru sedan was clocked at 53 MPH in a 25 MPH zone, and subsequent searches revealed marijuana and a defaced firearm within the vehicle. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 30-year-old male with known addresses in Garfield, NJ, and Trenton, NJ. Charges include possession of marijuana, altered firearm, and additional drug and driving offenses. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect’s arrest is pending.
