Calvert County, MD – Deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau responded on Monday to reports of suspicious activity in the Huntingtown area.
Deputies engaged in a high-speed pursuit, leading to the apprehension of some suspects in the Calvert area.
Following the pursuit into Anne Arundel County, a collision occurred between a fleeing vehicle and a pickup truck, resulting in casualties. The fleeing car’s front-seat passenger, identified as a teenage girl, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All suspects, including those apprehended earlier in Calvert, were determined to be from Glen Burnie, MD. The investigation has revealed that all three vehicles used in the incident were stolen, with various charges pending against the suspects.
In accordance with Maryland regulations, the Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division has taken charge of the ongoing investigation into the fatal crash that occurred during the police pursuit.
