Baltimore Woman Wins Lottery Jackpot

by Breaking Local News Report

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore resident and seasoned lottery enthusiast has claimed a $50,000 prize from the Maryland Lottery’s Pick 5 drawing this week, with plans to continue her winning streak. Accompanied by her brother, she collected her winnings at the Maryland Lottery headquarters on Wednesday.

The winning number, 11655, is a special family combination passed down from their mother. The realization of her win came on Monday evening when her brother, who has also secured smaller lottery prizes ranging from $500 to $2,500, called to confirm if she had played her usual numbers—a nightly ritual for the siblings.

This isn’t the first time the winner has struck lottery gold; her largest win dates back to 2009, when she won $40,000 from a $3 scratch-off ticket. “You gave me some of that for Christmastime,” her brother fondly remembered during their visit to the headquarters.

With the latest winnings, she plans to remodel her kitchen and bathrooms and save a portion. Confident in her lucky streak, she expressed her intention to return to the Winner’s Circle soon.

Hertsch’s Tavern, the venue where the winning ticket was purchased, also benefits, receiving a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for their role in selling the winning ticket.
