A wild brawl broke out on the Carnival cruise ship Paradise heading to Central America at 3 a.m. following a disagreement among a group of intoxicated female passengers from Tampa.
Nick Richardson, a 43-year-old passenger, described the scene as chaotic when he stumbled upon the fight while going to get pizza. “Those girls were already set on what they were gonna do. It just got out of hand very, very quickly. And that’s how it happens. You’re just drinking too much,” Richardson said.
Carnival Cruise Line issued a statement regarding the incident, confirming that the guests involved were fined and have been banned from sailing with the company in the future. “As is our policy, we will not tolerate such behavior and the guests involved were fined and will not sail on Carnival Cruise Line again,” the statement read.
The altercation underscores the cruise line’s strict policy against disruptive behavior, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all passengers on board.
