NEWTOWN, CT — A Connecticut Lottery player from Sandy Hook won a $10,000 prize on the popular “$100,000 Ca$hword” scratch-off game after purchasing a ticket in Newtown.

Anthony K. bought the winning ticket at Wheels #194, adding to the growing list of recent lottery winners in the state.

The “$100,000 Ca$hword” game offers players a chance to win top prizes of $100,000, along with multiple lower-tier prizes, including $10,000.

Connecticut Lottery winners have 180 days to claim their prizes. It is unclear whether Anthony K. has already collected his winnings.
