With odds of just 1 in 1.2 million, Jersey Cash 5 has long been regarded as the best shot at a jackpot among Garden State players. While large prizes are common, only three jackpots have ever climbed past $2 million before — in January 2021, May 2023, and October 2024. Tonight’s drawing has already shattered that ceiling by nearly $1 million.
Though Jersey Cash 5 leads in frequency of big wins, several other New Jersey Lottery games are also seeing soaring jackpots:
- Mega Millions is now at $547 million, with the next drawing set for Tuesday. Earlier this year, a Bergen County player turned a $1 million ticket into $4 million after activating a newly added free multiplier.
- Powerball, which awarded a historic $1.8 billion prize last month, is climbing again. The jackpot now stands at $207 million heading into tonight’s draw.
