Three arrested in Short North assault spree, Columbus police say

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three men have been arrested in connection with a series of assaults in the Short North District that left at least one person hospitalized, the Columbus Division of Police announced Wednesday.

The incidents occurred on December 28 at approximately 9:00 p.m., when multiple people were reportedly punched while walking along North High Street near East 2nd Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found one victim who was transported to a hospital for treatment of facial injuries.

Police arrested 23-year-old Daz’Quan Anderson and charged him with two counts of felonious assault. On January 3, detectives issued warrants for Phillip Moore III and Dale Seymore. Both men were recently taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
