RIVERDALE, MD. – A Maryland Lottery ticket sold in Riverdale hit the $4.2 million Multi-Match jackpot Monday night, ending a summer-long run without anyone capturing the Maryland-only game’s top prize.
Town Center Market at 4705 Queensbury Road sold the jackpot-winning ticket for the Aug. 31 drawing. The winning numbers were 1, 4, 18, 35, 41 and 42, according to the Maryland Lottery.
The winner can choose between a $4.2 million annuity paid in 25 equal annual installments or an estimated $2.2 million one-time payment before taxes. Town Center Market will receive a $4,200 bonus for selling the jackpot ticket.

$4.2M Jackpot Ends Multi-Match Drought
No player had hit the Multi-Match jackpot since April 16, allowing the prize to grow throughout the summer.
That streak ended Monday when the Riverdale ticket matched all six numbers. The Maryland Lottery said the $4.2 million prize is the game’s biggest jackpot since a Westminster man won $5.1 million in May 2022.
The previous jackpot went to an Ellicott City father who won $570,000 in April.
Monday’s drawing also produced thousands of smaller winners. According to the Lottery, 56,762 players statewide won prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000 for matching three or more numbers, including 39 tickets worth $1,000 each.
Riverdale Winner Has 182 Days to Claim Prize
Lottery officials are urging the jackpot winner to sign the back of the ticket and store it somewhere safe. The prize must be claimed within 182 days of the Aug. 31 drawing.
Because the jackpot exceeds $25,000, it must be claimed through Maryland Lottery headquarters, either by mail or in person. In-person claims require an appointment.

The Multi-Match jackpot resets to a $500,000 annuity for Thursday’s drawing. Tickets cost $2 per play, with each play providing three chances to win the jackpot.
