68-Year-Old Man Attacked and Beaten in Queens

NEW YORK — A 68-year-old man was attacked and rushed to the hospital in New York City this weekend.

Now, the New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection with an assault in Queens. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon near Whitestone Expressway and Third Avenue within the 109th Precinct.

According to police, the assault took place at approximately 2:50 p.m. The victim, a 68-year-old man, was walking in the area when an unidentified male approached and initiated a verbal dispute. The suspect then struck the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

The suspect fled the scene after the assault, and the victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian Methodist Hospital, where he was treated and listed in stable condition.

Authorities described the suspect as last seen wearing a black shirt, light-colored shorts, and black sandals. His whereabouts remain unknown.
