Police Investigating Strong Armed Robbery in Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — On Friday at 1:04 PM, police were called to the 7400 block of Stream Walk Ln. to investigate a robbery reported to have occurred the previous evening. A 47-year-old man was attacked by three men while walking near Hiram Ct.

The assailants demanded money, then assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground and kicking him. They stole money from his wallet and fled the scene.

The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects, described only as black males, are believed to have targeted the victim in this incident.

    Virginia Beach, VA – A two vehicle crash on Shore Drive last week has claimed the life of a 62-year-old Virginia Beach man who later died at the hospital from his injuries, police said.

    Emergency Communications received a report of the crash at approximately 6:00 p.m. February 13 in the 5500 block of Shore Drive. Officers and Virginia Beach Fire personnel located both drivers at the scene.

    The driver of one vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. The second driver, identified as Ronald Lockamy Jr., 62, of Virginia Beach, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

    On February 14, Lockamy died from his injuries while hospitalized.

    A preliminary investigation determined Lockamy was traveling east on Shore Drive when the other driver proceeded into his traffic lane. Lockamy’s vehicle struck the left side of the other vehicle.

    The crash remains under investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.

    The driver was identified as Leslie Rickmon, 36, of Stafford. Deputies reported that Rickmon displayed signs of intoxication at the scene. Rickmon declined to participate in field sobriety tests and refused to submit a breath sample.

    Rickmon was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, and reckless driving. Rickmon was remanded to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

    In a separate incident later that day, Deputy S. M. Eastman responded at approximately 1:50 p.m. to Nugent Drive for a reported larceny. A victim told deputies that someone had stolen a license plate from one of their vehicles.

    No suspect information was released in the larceny case, which remains under investigation.
