SECAUCUS, NJ – Following a tip from a concerned citizen, Secaucus police arrested 61-year-old Josephine Dimoplon on drug distribution charges earlier this month. The initial report, received in early May, alleged that Dimoplon was involved in distributing crack/cocaine, prompting an investigation led by Detective Sergeant Matthew Ford of the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit.

On Friday at 7:46 PM, Dimoplon was pulled over on Centre Avenue for not signaling a turn. During the stop, officers found her in possession of suspected crack/cocaine, resulting in her immediate arrest. The Secaucus Police K-9 Unit, including Officer Tyler Pein and K-9 Brix, confirmed the presence of drugs, detecting the scent emanating from Dimoplon’s vehicle. A subsequent search revealed additional quantities of the substance.

Dimoplon now faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled substance, and intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park.

She is currently being held at the Hudson County Jail, pending further legal proceedings.
