BOSTON, MA – A suspect was arrested and a firearm recovered by officers of the Boston Police Department after gunshots were reported in Boston Common around 10:05 PM on Monday, June 10. Dana Loder, 30, from Lynnfield, was apprehended following a police chase triggered by the incident.

Upon entering the Common, officers spotted a suspicious individual running and clutching his waistband, who then fled on foot, leading to a pursuit.

During the chase, the suspect discarded a firearm, which was later recovered by the police. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
