James City County, VA – Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday at 4:06 a.m. on the off-ramp from Interstate 64 westbound to Exit 231B.
A 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling westbound on Interstate 64 in the de-acceleration lane when it veered off the off-ramp, striking a pole and several trees.
The driver, Caleb I. Harsha, 22, of Williamsburg, VA, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
