Partial Building Collapse in Yonkers; Emergency Operations Underway

YONKERS, NY – The Yonkers Police Department and Yonkers Fire Department are currently responding to a partial building collapse at 9 North Broadway. Emergency teams are actively working to evacuate occupants and assess the structural integrity of the remaining building.

As part of the emergency response, several roads in the area have been closed to traffic. North Broadway is shut from Main Street to Manor House Square, and Main Street is closed from Palisade Avenue to Warburton Avenue. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

The closures are in effect until further notice as rescue operations continue. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
