Philadelphia, PA — A 43-year-old Black male was fatally shot in the head early Sunday morning in the 2nd District.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:17 AM on the 1400 block of Kerper Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic 12 at 3:24 AM.

The crime scene was secured, but no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.

The Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case.
