Wilkes-Barre Man Arrested for Terroristic Threats and Strangulation

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — On July 25, 2024, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Wilkes-Barre City Police officers were dispatched to a residence on Bowman Street following a report of a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 64-year-old female victim who reported that Gregorio Marmolejo, 65, entered her bedroom and began choking her. The victim stated that Marmolejo threatened her, saying, “I’m going to kill you,” while continuing to choke her. The victim managed to escape and call 911.

Marmolejo was taken into custody at the scene and transported to City Headquarters for processing. He faces charges of terroristic threats and strangulation.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.
