Maga protesters give doug emhoff a not-so-warm reception in new jersey

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff faced a crowd of protesters while attending a Democratic fundraiser in Bergen County on Monday. The protesters, some of whom identified as supporters of former President Donald Trump, confronted Emhoff with chants of “traitor” as he arrived at the event.

A bombshell report released last week claims Emhoff assaulted an ex-girlfriend in a New York City nightclub. Neither Emhoff nor the Harris-Walz campaign have responded to the allegations.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the protesters questioned Emhoff about an alleged assault involving a woman in nearby New York City, though there is no public record of any charges or accusations against him. Emhoff did not respond to the crowd’s remarks as he entered the venue, and event organizers did not comment on the protest.

The demonstration occurred outside a private fundraiser aimed at supporting local Democratic candidates in the upcoming election. According to attendees, the protesters gathered outside the venue shortly before Emhoff’s arrival and dispersed after making their presence known.

Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has been an active figure in Democratic events across the country, often speaking at fundraisers and community gatherings.

Authorities in Bergen County did not report any arrests or incidents of violence related to the protest. The event proceeded as planned without further disruption.
