Columbia, SC- Greg’s Grocery’s Serve & Connect recently organized a disaster relief packing event in response to the impact of Hurricane Helene. The event was held last week in Columbia, addressing the needs of those severely affected by the hurricane across the Carolinas.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department participated in this initiative, collaborating with a range of law enforcement professionals, first responders, and volunteers. Their collective efforts resulted in the preparation of 3,000 non-perishable food boxes. Additionally, 1,000 hygiene kits were packed and distributed to assist individuals and families in need.

The event highlighted the community’s capacity to come together during challenging times to aid those impacted by natural disasters. Serve & Connect’s mission to unite and serve communities facilitated this effort, providing essential supplies to hurricane victims. These relief efforts are a vital resource for recovery and demonstrate a proactive approach toward community support and collaboration.
