PHILADELPHIA — Authorities are searching for a suspect after a shooting in North Philadelphia early Saturday morning left seven people injured. Police believe a single shooter, possibly a juvenile male dressed in all black, fired more than 50 shots during the incident, which occurred just after 3:30 a.m.

The shooting spanned two crime scenes: one on the 2500 block of North Jessup Street and another nearby at 11th and Cumberland streets. Among the victims was a 17-year-old girl who was shot in the chest. All seven victims were transported to Temple University Hospital, where two were listed in critical condition. The other five are expected to survive, according to police.

Philadelphia police are continuing to investigate the motive behind the shooting. No arrests have been made as of Saturday afternoon.
