Bronx man shot and killed outside his home

BRONX, N.Y. — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday evening in front of his home in the Bronx, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:15 p.m. regarding a shooting outside 1295 Rodman Place, located in the NYPD’s 48th Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered Richard Spigner with gunshot wounds to his face and chest.

Spigner was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Authorities have not yet identified a suspect or motive in the case. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
