Toms River North Placed on Lockdown After Parent Threatened to ‘Shoot Up’ School

by Breaking Local News Report

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Toms River High School North was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning after a mother, upset with the school disciplining her child, confronted school officials and allegedly threatened to “shoot up the school.”

Those comments were made as she exited the building. Police were called, but she had already left when they arrived, and the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.

The woman was later located and arrested in Jackson Township, and charges are pending.

No students were in imminent danger during the lockdown.
