Armed Home Invasion Suspect Sought in Evesham

EVESHAM, N.J. — A knife-wielding suspect attempted to rob a homeowner in the Willow Ridge Development on Thursday night before fleeing the scene as police arrived, authorities said.

Evesham police responded to the residence at approximately 9:36 p.m. after receiving a report of a physical altercation in progress. The first officer on scene made contact with the homeowner, who reported that an unknown male suspect had entered the home armed with a knife but escaped through the rear door upon police arrival.

A perimeter was established, and a police canine unit attempted to track the suspect, but the search was called off when evidence suggested the suspect entered a waiting vehicle and fled the area.

The suspect was described as a young male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing dark clothing and a ski mask. Surveillance footage captured a white four-door sedan, believed to be the suspect’s getaway vehicle, leaving the area via Buckley Lane, Clinton Lane, and Willow Ridge Road.

Evesham detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
