BALTIMORE, MD — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy earlier this week in Baltimore’s Eastern District, police announced Wednesday.
Rodsheead Alexander, 34, Zion Wimbish, 19, and Ra’Shawn Smith, 19, were taken into custody following an investigation into the May 7 killing of John Lewis, who was found dead in the 3500 block of Brehms Lane.
Lewis, a teenager, was shot and killed at the scene, police said. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, and no motive has been disclosed.
Baltimore Police said Alexander and Wimbish were transported to Central Booking and charged with first-degree murder. Smith, who was injured during the shooting, received medical treatment at an area hospital before also being taken to Central Booking and charged.
All three remain in custody pending court appearances. No further information about the arrests or case details has been made public.
