JACKSON — The Township Council has passed an ordinance amending the municipal code to prohibit parking, stopping, or standing on a section of Pitney Lane, citing traffic safety and flow concerns in the area.

The update, approved as an amendment to Chapter 103 of the Jackson Municipal Code, adds a restriction under Section 103-45.1, Schedule IA, which designates specific locations where parking, stopping, or standing is not allowed.

Under the new regulation, vehicles will be prohibited from stopping on the west side of Pitney Lane, beginning at the southerly curbline of South Cooks Bridge Road and extending 980 feet south. The restriction is now in effect following adoption of the ordinance.
