New Jersey lottery winner lands life-changing cash

New Jersey player wins $1K a week for life after hitting big at Elizabeth convenience store

TRENTON, NJ – A lucky Union County resident is set to receive $1,000 a week for life—opting instead for a $1 million lump-sum payout—after matching five numbers in Tuesday’s CASH4LIFE drawing with a ticket bought at a local convenience store in Elizabeth.

The ticket, which was just one Cash Ball away from the top prize, was sold at Varsha Convenience Store, located at 900 Grove Street. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winning numbers drawn were 04, 06, 08, 33, and 35, with the Cash Ball number 02. Matching all five regular numbers secures the second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life, which comes with a one-time cash option of $1 million—an option the winner chose.

This marks another major CASH4LIFE win for New Jersey, which has seen multiple big payouts this year. On May 14, a Union County player took home the top $7 million prize, while another player in Middlesex County also won a $1 million second-tier prize that same day. Just last week, a Bergen County ticket hit the $1 million mark as well.

CASH4LIFE offers two lifetime jackpots: $1,000 a day for life and $1,000 a week for life. Tickets cost $2 per play, with players selecting five numbers from 1 to 60 and a separate Cash Ball from 1 to 4. Drawings are held daily at 9 p.m.

The game is available in nine states, including New Jersey, and features a total of nine prize levels. The optional “DOUBLER” feature increases most prizes for an additional $1 but does not apply to the top two “for life” prizes.
