The winning ticket was purchased at Lakeside Mobil in New Haven. Connecticut Lottery officials confirmed the $50,000 win, which comes as Powerball jackpots continue to attract players nationwide.

The $50,000 prize represents a third-tier win, awarded to tickets matching four of the five white balls and the red Powerball. Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize at Connecticut Lottery headquarters.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week — Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. — with numbers drawn from a pool of 1 through 69, plus the Powerball from 1 through 26.
