Brooklyn, NY – A 67-year-old man was fatally stabbed and another injured during a late-night attack inside an East New York building, police said.
The violence erupted around 10:39 p.m. Friday at 11000 Flatlands Avenue, within the 69th Precinct. Responding officers found Hector Reinoso-Perez, 67, with a stab wound to the torso, and a 41-year-old man suffering from a slash wound to the hand.
Reinoso-Perez was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim did not require hospitalization.
On Saturday, authorities announced the arrest of 44-year-old Wilber Salazar Rios of Hempstead, New York. He is charged with murder, assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police have not released further details about what led to the attack. The investigation remains ongoing.
