Greensburg, PA – A 31-year-old man who admitted to chasing down another driver and opening fire in broad daylight through Mount Pleasant Township has been sentenced to state prison.

Paul Caletri III pleaded guilty to aggravated assault after prosecutors said he and his father pursued a man in their vehicles before Caletri fired multiple gunshots into the victim’s truck and rammed into it. No injuries were reported, though the incident played out across several streets before ending in Mount Pleasant borough.

The confrontation, investigated by Pennsylvania State Police, occurred in December of last year.

Caletri III was sentenced to two and a half to five years behind bars, followed by three years of probation.

His father, Paul Caletri Jr., 70, faces related charges and is expected in court in December.

District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli praised troopers for their swift response and credited Assistant District Attorney Steve Reddy with prosecuting the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
